For Candidates

How It Works

Five steps from registration to a verified, internationally recognised GCCS certificate.

1
Choose Your Qualification
Browse the GCCS qualification catalogue and select the certification that matches your professional goals. Each qualification lists its scope, EQF level, and learning outcomes.
2
Register with a Local Validation Body
Find an accredited Local Certification Body in your country or region. They will guide you through eligibility requirements and schedule your examination.
3
Prepare and Take the Exam
Study the published learning outcomes and verification criteria. On exam day, your identity will be verified and the examination will be conducted under supervised conditions — on-site or online with proctoring.
4
Receive Your Result
Your performance is assessed against defined verification criteria. You will receive your result in writing, along with your score and information about next steps.
5
Get Your Certificate
Upon passing, you receive a GCCS certificate with a unique QR code. Your certification is registered in the central GCCS registry and can be instantly verified by any employer or institution worldwide.
Candidate Handbook

What You Need to Know

Key rules and requirements for every GCCS candidate — clear, fair, and the same everywhere.

Examination rules. All GCCS examinations are conducted under supervised conditions. Your identity will be verified before the exam begins, and the session will be monitored throughout — whether on-site or online. Examination content is confidential and may not be recorded, shared, or reproduced.

Eligibility. Each GCCS qualification specifies its own eligibility requirements. These are published alongside the qualification description so you always know what is expected before you register. Your Local Certification Body will confirm your eligibility as part of the registration process.

Results and appeals. You will receive your result in writing. If you believe the examination was not conducted fairly or that an error has been made, you have the right to raise a complaint or lodge a formal appeal. The process is transparent and handled by independent reviewers.

Retake policy. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you may retake the examination in accordance with the retake conditions defined for your qualification. Retake rules — including any waiting periods and maximum attempts — are communicated to you before registration.
Accessibility

Special Arrangements

GCCS is committed to fair access for every candidate.

Accessibility and inclusion is a core principle of the GCCS Standard. If you have a disability, long-term health condition, specific learning difficulty, or any other circumstance that may affect your ability to take an examination under standard conditions, you may request reasonable adjustments.

What adjustments are available? Reasonable accommodations may include additional examination time, alternative formats for examination materials, assistive technology, accessible examination venues, or separate supervised rooms. The specific adjustments available depend on the nature of your needs and the format of the qualification.

How to request. Contact your Local Certification Body before your examination date. Provide documentation that supports your request — such as a medical certificate or an educational psychologist's report. Your LCB will work with you to put appropriate arrangements in place.

Adjustments are designed to remove barriers to access without changing what is being assessed. Your certificate carries the same value and recognition as any other GCCS certificate.
